The Youth Committee nurtures the junior and senior high-aged youth of First Presbyterian Church of Newhall and the community by providing a Christ-centered program of worship, education, fellowship, and service in order to equip them with a framework in which they can realize their spiritual gifts and live a Christian life. Bryce Morrow serves as the Director of Youth Ministries at First Presbyterian Church of Newhall, where he has faithfully invested in students and their families for nearly a decade. He leads Ignite Youth Ministry, cultivating an engaging environment where middle and high school students grow in their faith through weekly gatherings, retreats, camps, mission trips, service opportunities, and authentic community.
Bryce is passionate about helping young people discover their identity in Christ, develop a resilient faith, and become compassionate leaders who love God and serve others. He believes that some of life’s most meaningful spiritual growth happens through genuine relationships, honest conversations, and shared experiences.
Before entering full-time ministry, Bryce spent many years in the entertainment industry as an actor and comedian. Those experiences continue to shape his engaging teaching style, creativity, and ability to connect with students. While the stage was an important part of his journey, God ultimately called him to invest in the lives of the next generation, walking alongside them as they navigate adolescence and become lifelong followers of Jesus Christ.
In addition to his work with students, Bryce has a growing passion for sports ministry, character coaching, and mentoring athletes. He is committed to helping young people develop Christ-centered character, servant leadership, and a faith that extends beyond the church into every area of life—including the classroom, the playing field, and their communities.
Ignite Youth is the student ministry of First Presbyterian Church of Newhall for students in 7th–12th grade. Our desire is to help students know Jesus Christ, grow in their faith, build authentic friendships, and discover how God can use them to make a difference in the world.
We believe discipleship happens best through relationships. That’s why we invest in knowing each student—and their family—personally. Whether we’re gathering for our weekly Sunday meetings, serving on mission trips, making memories at camps and retreats, or simply sharing life together, our goal is to create a place where every student feels welcomed, valued, and encouraged to grow.
Through Ignite Youth, students are challenged to move beyond simply attending church and begin living out their faith with courage, compassion, and purpose. Together we seek to cultivate Christ-centered character, serve others with humility, embrace people from all walks of life, and boldly share the hope we have in Jesus.
