Youth Happenings

Also on February 15th, the Jr. Highers will be serving dinner at the Santa Clarita Homeless Shelter.  We will be preparing the meal, setting up the dining room and serving to the residents - as well as making their sack lunches for the next day.  This is always a very educational evening for the kids as well as the adult helpers.

In February it will be the J.Y.G. kids' turn to retreat.  On the 23rd, We'll gather for our second annual "spiritual overnight."  We'll spend the evening and into the night talking about how we can give more of our lives over to God and allow him to be Lord of all.  Then I suppose we'll make some time in our lives for games and junk food. 

Well, to say the V.Y.B.e ski retreat was a success would be an understatement.  33 kids and 7 adults made the trek to the Wood's and Bailey's cabins to be a part of the largest winter retreat we've ever had.  Not only was the turnout wonderful, so were the words that Eric and Sue Takamoto had to share.  It was great to have the two of them back and a neat way for our seniors to come full
