Fellowship hall on Sunday nights with around 30 in attendance.  Our first participation in the L.A. AIDS walk was a success with 12 of us walking 10 kilometers (Regan Durner ran it) with 30,000 others to raise money in the fight against HIV/AIDS.  V.Y.B.e ended the month with a Halloween party with the Jr. Highers where they brought, rather than sought goodies and were able to fill our food shelf with bags of peanut butter, detergent and canned goods.
In November, the
V.Y.B.e group will host the Pancake Breakfast on the 5th and will also continue their annual "Poetry Read

The kids of J.Y.G. (Jr. high youth group) had a meaningful and fun-filled October with a trip to
Tijuana, a lock-out that had them traipsing all over the Santa Clarita Valley 'til all hours of the night and ending with a Halloween party with V.Y.B.e at the
Ramnarine's home!
In November, things will slow down a bit, but not much.  There will still be the 3 on 3 basketball tourney on the 11th and the battle against the old guard in the annual Turkey Bowl on Thanksgiving morn.

Calling All Second-Service Sunday School Teacher "Wanna-Be"s!!

Cheryl Devore has graciously overextended herself this year to ensure that there is a loving, fun place for the 2-3 year olds during second service every other month.  We are still in need of someone to nurture those kids in Cheryl's place.  The commitment is to be present and loving each Sunday every other month during second service for a small but fun group of kids.  Please call Stacey at church, 259-0555, if you'd like to join the fun.
