Why bring a
friend? Christ calls us to "make disciples" of all
people; but evangelism, even among good Christians like
ourselves, is often perceived as uncomfortable. It
doesn't have to be that way. An event like a pancake
breakfast is a great vehicle for reaching out to someone we
know who doesn't have a church family or hasn't experienced
the healing love of Jesus Christ. You don't have to
"bend" the conversation to issues of faith or worry about
being "Christian enough." Just be yourself, reach out,
have fun, enjoy good conversation and food; have faith that
our community of believers, filled with the Spirit, gathered
around a breakfast table and gathered in worship, will testify
that Jesus is Lord and his love for each of his children is
real. So on
November 5th, bring your
appetite and Bring a Friend!
