REPORT TO THE CONGREGATION
ON MODERATOR'S
CONFERENCE
Sunday, March 16, 3:00-4:30 p.m., In the
Sanctuary
Moderator of the General Assembly of the
Presbyterian Church USA, Fahed Abu-Aklel organized a
conference in December 2002 at the Presbyterian Center in
Louisville, Kentucky. Because of his great concern about
justice and peace he invited peacemaking committee members as
well as moderators of presbyteries to attend. You are invited
to hear this report by Moderator of the Presbytery of San
Fernando, Merilie Robertson, and Carole Wheeler. The focus
will be on the Middle East, particularly Iraq and
Israel/Palestine. The need for spiritual food for the journey
through these days will be discussed. Resource materials will
be available as well as ideas for talking about difficult
issues.
