every class about her work with families here in the
Santa Clarita Valley that are in need of food, clothing and
other basic items. The children opened their hearts (and
cleaned out their closets) and gave over 2,000 items.
These will be distributed to single mothers, seniors and
families through the outreach ministries of Arlys and Nelson
Rivera. Remember VeggieTown citizens, you can share year
round by placing donated items on the shelves in the Evans
Room.
The week ended with the sanctuary full of
families attending a Friday evening program where the children
sang, showed off their crafts, received certificates of
participation and shared dessert together. Be sure to
check out the photos on the bulletin board as you enter the
Church. It was a great week; ask anyone who
participated!
